Recharge The Sarge
Sergeant Jasper Golf Club, located in Ridgeland, SC, is dedicated to expanding access to the game for all by providing a quality, affordable course for residents of Jasper County and the surrounding communities. Since reopening under the stewardship of the Congaree Foundation in 2021, plans were established to steadily reinvigorate the course and facilities to provide a quality golf destination for all players and a place of community for the families of Jasper County.
As part of a comprehensive enhancement project funded by the Congaree Foundation, partners, and friends of the “Sarge”, Sergeant Jasper has undergone a strategic renovations over the past five years. Highlights from these enhancements include:
Reconstruction of all nine green complexes and adjoining bunkers
Construction of a new practice green
Renovations to clubhouse and golf shop
Beautification of grounds surrounding the clubhouse
Acquisition of new maintenance equipment, golf car fleet, and push carts
Brandon Meade, Sergeant Jasper Golf Professional, has also been hired to oversee the daily operation at Sergeant Jasper as well as membership and community involvement.
As the Congaree Foundation strives to provide a place of community and quality golf destination for residents of the Lowcountry, we are proud to partner with many who share a passion for golf and providing community access. Sergeant Jasper is providing golf and golf equipment to youth under 17 at no charge, local high schools a home and reinvigorate school golf programs, and youth programs through Boys & Girls Club and First Tee of the Lowcountry that are introducing the game and its inherent values to young people. Off the golf course, local residents and businesses are using the facility for meetings, receptions, and parties.
